Brent received his undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Science at Oregon State University. He graduated from A.T. Still University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program in Mesa Arizona in 2009, later returning to the Portland area where he started his career in Orthopedic Physical Therapy Rehabilitation.
Brent’s interest in sports physical therapy comes from his history as a multi-sport high school athlete with participation in competitive distance running in college. He has participated in multiple post-graduate skill development courses and received his Orthopedic Clinical Specialist certification in 2014.
Through his clinical education and experience, Brent’s model of physical therapy and athletic rehabilitation is through a systematic process of accurate clinical diagnosis as well as appreciating regional interdependence of the body function as a whole. He utilizes evidence-based treatment approaches, including skilled manual therapy treatment, to optimize movement.
Further, he believes the application of appropriate movement patterns and restoration of function through comprehensive exercise program development and patient/client participation are vital in reaching maximum rehabilitation and athletic potential.
Outside of the clinic, Brent enjoys long-distance road cycling, golfing, camping/hiking with his wife and children, fly fishing, and is an enthusiast of classic muscle cars having personally restored a 1968 mustang.
